It’s the question everyone has for residents of Western North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene.
The short answer is good.
Helene was a once-in-a-millennium event that impacted every corner of our region, but relatively speaking, we were fortunate here in Henderson County and at Champion Hills.
The weeks following the storm were difficult, but an area long known for its vibrancy has bounced back to life. There are no travel restrictions, and Hendersonville, which remains charming as ever, is again welcoming visitors to enjoy everything from downtown shops and museums to sampling wines from local wineries.
At Champion Hills, we've resumed tours, and prospective members can once again experience the beauty and warmth of our community. The Mountain View Room is open, offering fine dining and breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, while the Fazio Pub is alive with members enjoying a more casual, friendly atmosphere. Our informal clubs, a vital part of the Champion Hills lifestyle, are meeting regularly, and, most importantly, members are teeing it up on the front nine of our award-winning Tom Fazio-designed golf course.
While we’re grateful to be returning to normality, our thoughts remain with our friends and neighbors across the region who are still recovering. As life begins to settle back into its familiar rhythm, we’re excited to welcome you to Champion Hills and share with you all our community has to offer.
