Mackenzie Jones is the new Wellness Director at Champion Hills. Mackenzie grew up under the Teton Mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Montana State University, Mackenzie moved to North Carolina to work for the Flat Rock Playhouse. Flat Rock became her "forever" home after meeting her husband Jeff. They have a thirteen-year-old daughter, Audrey, of whom they are very proud.
Mackenzie became a certified Jazzercise instructor in 2007 and has been teaching the "Jazzercise" and "Strength 60" group exercise program at Champion Hills since the summer of 2011. She has owned and operated the Jazzercise Flat Rock Fitness Studio since January 1, 2011. Mackenzie, along with an accomplished staff have taught dozens of fun and effective classes for many dedicated and enthusiastic members from throughout the community. Mackenzie has also worked with the residents of Lake Pointe Landing retirement community. She designed programs specifically for these residents to promote healthy movement at an advanced age.
Mackenzie has received multiple professional fitness distinctions including certifications in personal training, strength training, high-intensity interval (HiiT) training, and she has received the classification of ELITE instructor from Jazzercise, Inc.
Motivating people and providing them with the tools and structure to be healthier and stronger is her passion!
