Summertime in the Blue Ridge mountains is one of the most enjoyable times of the year! With events taking place around Champion Hills throughout the summer, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. Come on out and explore the beauty of Henderson county with your family, friends, and neighbors!

Puccini’s Madama Butterfly: June 28 @ 7:30 pm

This summer, The Brevard Music Center has the pleasure of presenting Puccini's timeless opera. The gorgeously seductive, yet heartbreaking story of the trusting Japanese geisha and her callous American lover is sung in Italian with English supertitles. Learn more: HERE

22nd Annual “Chalk It Up!”: July 14 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

The 22nd Annual Chalk Art Festival “Chalk It Up!” will be featuring 150 artists drawing on seven blocks of Main Street in Hendersonville, NC. All artists – professionals and novices – are given free chalk and assigned sidewalk space and encouraged to “Draw your dreams on Main!” Learn more: HERE

Rhythm & Brews: July 19 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

On the third Thursday of each month through September, come on down to South Main Street to enjoy a free downtown concert! Whatever your music tastes, Rhythm & Brews is sure to liven up your summer! Beer, wine & food are available for purchase! Learn more: HERE

Music by the Lake: July 29 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

As a gift to the community, Blue Ridge Community College offers free summer concerts beside the College! With a wide range of musical and vocal groups, there is sure to be something for every listener to enjoy. On Sunday evenings, grab a blanket and have a picnic with family or bring your lawn chairs and try the food truck on site! Learn more: HERE
